Blogging in the DailyKos - Part 3

In my venture into the darkness of the DailyKos, there are all these bloggers there that are blaming the current war in Georgia on Bush and Cheney. They equate Bush with Putin, and argue that Russia is justified to invade Georgia for the purposes of regime change, because that's what Bush did with Iraq. Bush has been equated with Stalin, Hitler, and is often called a murdere, liar, etc. While I may not agree with all of President Bush's policy, I fail to understand the lunacy of some of the bloggers in the DailyKos. We all live in the same country, and yet, how can our views diverge so much to the point that I feel like I am reading to blogs from a bunch of people who hate the United States of America. Scary.

Should Townhall ban liberals who blog in Townhall?

I personally do not believe that Townhall should ban anyone, as long as the posts are civil. But I do think that Townhall ought to remove the feature where a blogger can "turn off" the comments. Certain liberal bloggers like the oxymorinic "American 4 Truth" enjoy blogging in Townhall, but are too afraid to allow others to post rebuttals to their blogs. So they keep the comments feature on "off." Go to liberal sites like DailyKos and anyone who does not share their beliefs gets banned. No civility. No debating. Only cursing, berating, and banishment.

Blogging in the DailyKos - Part 2

Was Savage right in saying that liberalism is an illness? Talk about a group of people who do not know how to be civil to people who do not share their opinions!!! I don't know if all the people who write in the DailyKos are like that, but I certainly ran into a group that are darn close to being like a crazed weasel!!! If I had been in a room with them, they would have probably lynched me. It's the irony of liberalism. Give terrorists access to our civilian court system. Give terrorists all the civil rights that Americans enjoy. Let's embrace freedom of speech (except when it is related to Christianity). But at the same, the liberals want to censor all the Americans that do not share their view. They demonize anyone who doesn't share their beliefs. They threaten and curse those that dare to think differently. That's my experience so far in the DailyKos. I'll provide more details later on, assuming that I don't get banned as I have already been threatened with!

Blogging in DailyKos - Part 1

I began a blog in the DailyKos over the weekend, after being inspired by some of the people at Townhall.com. I noted that we have a few left wing radicals who like to blog in Townhall (with the comments feature turned off, of course, to prevent rebuttals), as well as post comments in our blogs that are sometimes filled with some very hateful messages. Nevertheless, I believe that people should voice their opinions, and people should listen. Civility is always nice, but obviously, some individuals on the left have large amounts of angst. So as I begin my journey in the dark side known as the DailyKos, I'll keep you posted of the types of reaction that I get there. If the liberals in DailyKos are really the champions of freedom of speech and individual rights (as liberals like to tout themselves), they will welcome a good debate. Otherwise, I suppose my account will get banned pretty quickly.

Must see hilarious videos about appeasement!

Conservative film producer David Zucker's two HILARIOUS videos satirizing appeasement foreign policy. I posted these old videos before, and some of y'all have probably seen them already. But I figure that I'd post these again to lighten our mood, given that we are all discussing foreign policy tonight in the context of the war in Georgia and the potential presidency of Obama. Gulp!

How does Obama feel when he sees the American flag?

I was just watching Michael Phelps dominate the 4x100 individual medleys. I got all choked up during the medal cerimony seeing the raising of the American flag and the happiness in the faces of Phelps and bronze winner Ryan Lachte. I was equally thrilled to see Phelps and Lachte show proper respect by covering their hearts during the raising of the American flag and playing of the national anthem. That brings my thoughts about a man who wants to be our president, Barrack Hussein Obama. Why is it that he won't show the same respect to our flag? Why did he put down the people who wear flag pins on their lapel? Why does he need to be reminded about saying the Pledge of Allegiance? Why is he more interested in being a citizen of the world than a citizen of the United States of America? I can't read Obama's mind or see what is in his heart. I can only judge him by his actions and his words. But I do wonder more often than not how he really feels about America and what the America stands for. Is Obama going to be a president who will stand up for what America stands for? Or is he going to be a president that wants America to stand up for what he stands for?

More subtle but blatant media bias by a CNN reporter

Check out this article in CNN.com today, written by Barbara Starr, CNN's Pentagon correspondent. In discussing whether a troop "surge" would work in Afghanistan, Ms. Star wrote the following:

"In 2007, as part of the surge strategy, President Bush sent roughly 30,000 additional troops to Iraq in an attempt to improve security. That effort COINCIDED with a drop in violence, and, now that the troops in Iraq are returning to pre-surge levels ..." (emphasis added).

"Coincided"??? Looks like Ms. Starr wants to join the one member club of individuals who think the surge was not succesful. Obama is the charter member. Ms. Starr can be the second member. And remember, this is not an op-ed piece. This is supposed to be reporting!!

Irony of seeing liberals turn on the Clintons

I was suffering insomnia (again) and had nothing else to watch on TV. So I figure that I'd get a few laughs by watching a re-run of Hardball. It was so incredibly ironic to see all these liberals that call themselves "journalists" turn on Bill and Hillary Clinton. A sub for Chris Matthews, a jester for CNBC (John Harwood, who I believe also writes for the NY Times) and a clown for NBC (Chuck Todd) were simply ripping the Clintons. I wonder what the Clintons are feeling now that they have been thrown aside by the liberals who have a new messiah to worship. Organizations like Moveon, Mediamatters, DailyKos, NY Times and even NBC, once ardent Clinton supporters, are now filled with anti-Clinton editorials, blogs, and comments. No longer the flavor of the day. Even most ironic is seeing Republican pundits treat the Clintons with a whole lot more respect than their fellow Dems. I can totally see why a lot of Hillary supporters are so adverse to the idea of supporting Obama. Just take a look at http://justsaynodeal.com .

Okay, I just watched another segment of Hardball, and I am wondering whether Obama pundits really believe the BS that comes out of their mouth (so they actually think they are speaking the truth), or are they just plain liars? When Obama supporters say that he hasn't played the race card, and that he hasn't made any negative attacks against McCain ... I don't know whether to laugh at them or cry for them. Obama supporters keep saying that he's a new kind of politician who decided to run a "positive" campaign and that's why he hasn't "attacked" McCain. Right, sure, calling McCain a racist is "positive" eh? Maybe they should ask President Clinton if he thinks being called a racist is positive.

American 4 Truth? Liberals and censorship

I wonder why our fellow Town Hall blogger "American 4 Truth" will not allow people to post comments on his blog?
I believe all of us are entitled to our opinions and views, even if we are not all in agreement. That's what makes America the great nation that it is. Instead, liberals who profess to be the champions of freedom of speech and civil rights often act more like McCarthy than MLK. That's why several Dems in Congress want to bring back the "fairness" doctrine to silence conservative talk shows. That's why criticism of Obama is labeled as "ignorant" or "racist" or "divisive" or "scare tactics." That's why conservative rhetoric in Hollywood is almost synonimous to career suicide. That's why the liberal main stream media selectively highlights "scandalous gotchas" about conservatives while exercising "journalist due diligence" when it comes to liberals. That's why Pelosi turned off the cameras and the lights on her fellow representatives in the House. C'mon liberals, if y'all are truly for freedom of speech, why do y'all like to shut up all the people who do not share your views??

Hollywood Conservatives - there is hope after all!

The Weekly Standard has a great and encouraging article discussing Hollywood conservatism  in the context of producer David Zucker’s upcoming movie “An American Carol.” In the article, Zucker discusses his journey from left to right, with the ultimate turning point being 9/11. It is a great article that makes me think there is hope for Hollywood after all.

"An American Carol" satirizes the turning to the right of a liberal movie director after the he is visited by the ghosts of George Washington, George Patton and JFK. The movie stars Kevin Farley as the Michael Moore look-a-like character, and also Kelsey Grammer, Dennis Hopper, Jon Voight, and James Woods. Zucker probably used all the conservative movie actors that he could find in Hollywood for his movie! Movie comes out on October 3.

Speaking of David Zucker, he has produced three great short satires about those that advocate appeasement and higher taxes. Totally hilarious and worth watching!!

Video of Gaddafi endorsing Obama

I am sure Obama got an endorsement that he probably didn't want when Lybian dictator Muammar Gaddafi endorsed Obama's candidacy in early June. Assuming that the video is legitimate and that the translation was correct, Gaddafi called Obama a Muslim, and a Muslim brother. He goes on to criticize Obama for saying that he wanted to return Jerusalem to Israel to be used as the capital, and then says that he hopes that Obama's "pro-Jewish" rhetoric is just an election "lie" to get himself elected. Gaddafi mocks democracy because candidates say whatever they want to get themselves elected, and says that after the elections are won, he hopes that Obama will support the existence of a single Palestinian country in the place of Israel. According to Gaddafi, that little 15 miles strip of land is too small for two countries. Finally, Gaddafi says that Obama has refrained from wanting to inspect Israel's nuclear weapons programs, because Obama does not want to get himself assassinated by Israel like John Kennedy was.

While I personally think Gaddafi is a crazed dictator as you will see from the video clip, American voters that support Obama ought to at least pause and ask themselves why a terrorist and sworn enemy of the United States like Gaddafi would endorse Obama. Sad thing about the state of our country is that some Americans would probably rather have an endorsement from Gaddafi than from President Bush.

JON VOIGHT: Obama sowing socialist seeds ...

Academy Award winner actor Jon Voight wrote an excellent op-ed in the Washington Times on July 28, 2008. He discussed his beliefs of what will happen to our great country if Obama is elected the president this November. Voight discusses Obama's radical affiliations, discusses his own experience with the anti-war movement during the Vietnam War, and even calls Wesley Clark a "lying fool" for his attack on John McCain's military experience.

It is so rare nowadays to see anyone in Hollywood display conservative values. Here's Jon Voight, actually writing an op-ed piece, and letting the rest of Hollywood know exactly where he stands. And of course, in true liberal fashion, the "powers that be" in Hollywood have already started firing pot shots at Voight. Jeffrey Wells of Hollywood Elsewhere (and Los Angeles Times, Entertainment Weekly) has already suggested that Voight be placed on a "sh*t list." Wells said, "you'd think an arch conservative working in an overwhelmingly liberal town would think about restraining himself for expediency's sake, if nothing else."

There it is, ladies and gentlemen. Liberal hyprocrisy at its best. The so called "progressive" and "open minded" liberals are open minded and lovers of freedom of speech, AS LONG AS the speech comports with their liberal agenda. If the speech does not comport with their liberal agenda, then censorship is perfectly alright. It is just like Hillary Clinton's desire to reintroduce the "fairness doctrine" and force radio stations to broadcast "liberal" opinions to "balance out" the conservative opinions expressed in radio by the likes of Limbaugh, Hannity, and Gallagher. The irony of liberals always accusing conservatives of being narrow minded.

Well, I hope each of us will support Jon Voight's movies as much as possible. Other than Jerry Bruckheimer, I can't think of another Hollywood director with conservative leanings. And be sure to read Voight's op-ed article in the Washington Times. It's excellent. And pass it to your friends and family too.

Pelosi: just tell your constituency that you are for drilling

According to Politico.com, certain Dems insiders have stated that Pelosi is telling Dems feeling the heat about offshore drilling to go ahead and tell their constituents that they support offshore drilling, if that's what is going to take to get them re-elected in November. And then, after the election, once the Dems have control of both Congress and the White House, Dems will just go right back with their agenda.

How about that for political expediency, and perhaps even defrauding the American people?

Dems can't even say why they won't allow vote

Simple question, why won't Dems allow a vote on offshore drilling? I was watching Hannity & Colmes, and a Dem named Kiki McLean (a former unemployed Gore advisor) was asked that simple question by Sean Hannity. Her answer was "We [Democrats] are working on a calendar, there are a lot of issues in this country ... and Democrats have moved forward on energy. We have moved forward with an agenda." Even Alan Colmes has no answer to that question. And instead said in the show that Obama is not getting "enough credit" for having said that he agrees with limited offshore drilling. Isn't that ironic, some Dems now want to give Obama the "credit" for saying that he agrees with offshore drilling after months and months of saying he's against it?

Sen. Landrieu (D) - I DISAGREE with Pelosi

Senator Landrieu (D - La) is part of the "Gang of 10," the ten senators that are trying to come up with a bipartisan solution to the energy problem. I am not too familiar with the details of the proposal, but it apparently includes drilling. She was just on Hannity & Colmes a few minutes ago, and she explicitly said that she "disagrees with Speaker Pelosi" regarding offshore drilling. Kudos to Senator Landrieu!
